Beta-Ecdysterone (20 hydroxyecdysterone)
What is beta-ecdysterone?
Ecdysterone is a plant extract (naturally occurring hormone) extracted from the rhaponticum carthamoides. It happens to exist as a compound in the herbs like Rhaponticum/Leuzeae and Cyanotis vaga, and is therefore a naturally occurring phytochemical. It evolved from Russia. The Russians gave it to their athletes prior to competitions in order to optimize performance while coming off anabolic steroids to beat doping tests. It works by increasing nitrogen retention and increasing protein synthesis. Clinical studies by ICN Pharmaceuticals demonstrated that the results are further improved when the drug is combined with a high-protein diet, to the point of equalling or even surpassing the beneficial effects of conventionally derived steroids such as Dianabol(steroid). The same studies showed the effective dose for a human to be around 5 mg per kg of body mass, daily. The compound becomes toxic only at doses of 6400 mg per kg of body mass per day.
What is the effective dosage of acidophilus supplementation?
Dosages vary based upon reason for use; consult your physician for guidance. Be sure that the acidophilus supplements you purchase contain live "active" cultures, and that there are 1-2 billion organisms per capsule if taking pill form. Check the expiration date, and store it in the refrigerator, as freezing or hot temperatures may harm the live cultures.
What is the effective dosage of beta-ecdysterone?
The effective dosage of Ecdysterone is 80 to 200 mg per day (divided dosage).
